Cure for CDC Chin Spoiler Curb Rash
I love the look of the CDC aggressive chin spoiler I just put on my 'Stang, but I promptly ran it into a curb and ruined the paint along the bottom edge. I found a site with automotive wheel well molding and purchased a roll of black vinyl trim to cover up the scratches. Looks great! And now I have extra protection against my clumsy parking.....

Part number is MDGWW-FT. Be sure to get all black.

RE: Cure for CDC Chin Spoiler Curb Rash
Ah, very niiiice. Great idea, wish I had thought about before hitting that cobblestone road with the steep incline. Those cobblestones did a number on my chin spoiler that even this cool trick won't cover up. When I get a new one I'll def keep this neat trick in mind.
I'm thinking about going with the Steeda one this time though, and it may not work on that model...

RE: Cure for CDC Chin Spoiler Curb Rash
I plan on getting the CDC classic chin spolier over the winter. As with all of my vehicles, I have invested in the 3M clear bra. I plan to have the chin spoiner painted, then over to my guy for a custom clear bra install on the spoiler. This material is much more durable than you would believe. He has changed a pront piece on a Nissan 350z because the owner hit a parking stop. The old section peels right off, there was no damage to the paint, and he just reapplied the 3M material. I've seen a demo from a certified installer try putting a key in a clenched fist through the 3M film, didn't work, he couldn't do it. Might be an alternative worth looking into
