I saw the new P1sc procharger in action
I am down in Bradenton, Florida doing some top fuel testing. At the track today 5.0 magazine was out doing a photo shoot with 2 new 05 stangs, both equiped with prototype P1sc prochargers running 8 psi. The only other mods to both cars were X pipes w/ no cats. The mufflers were stock. Both had Mickey Thompsen's. The rain was coming in, so they hurried to make a couple runs. So what did they manage? Well, one had some clutch issues so only 1 ran. It ran twice. The first pass the driver missed 3rd alltogether, finally found 3rd and run a 12.10 @ 116. The second pass with normal shifts (not speed shifts or power shifts) produced an 11.80 something at 120. Wow! These cars are EASILY capable of mid 11's with better shifts. -On 8 psi without other mods. Pretty impressive. BTW, these cars dyno'd 440 rwhp running 16* of total timing and an a/f ratio of 11.4, on 8 lbs of boost! I would say the new 3v 4.6 is more efficient than the 04 4v motor in the Cobra. Tell you what, the prototype procharger kits are trick. I didn't have my phone or a camera with me, or I would have taken some pics. -But, I do believe Procharger and Diablo wouldn't have allowed it. Either way, good stuff!

Thanks for the info. Maybe I don't need to do all the internals on my 05 GT, to SC and have some fun. Possibly very economical for now!!
This might make you the fastest spy, on earth. Sorry the satelite's get the off earth honors.

The rain came in fairly soon, so we didn't run today. Tomorrow we will, and I'll let you know. I am going to run the car to half track first, and make sure everything checks out. Then I will make some full-ish passes over the next few days.

The 2 o5's ran again today. With easy shifts, one ran another 11.80-something. Unofficially, the owner of Diablo and Procharger were saying that was the first 05 gt in the 11's. -But, I think it's been done already. Cool stuff, nonetheless. I talked a lot today with the editor of 5.0 magazine. I asked him if he ever frequented any of the forums for mustangs. He said he did, but would never post, due to his 'editor' status. He said he frequents MF's quite a bit, he said.
