I figured I would try to save a buck so I went a slightly different route. I got a cluster from a salave 06 GT for $100. Then I got the switch assy for about $40. Needless to say, the deal cost me $300.

But here is my original post on that: https://mustangforums.com/m_4003331/...tm.htm#4003331

but you also get your mpg, trip miles, oil change soon and all that
What miles does the dash info say to change your oil?

I do keep My Color on Blue most of the time...... it matches my car.
it doesn't? well my moms van has that feature and every 3k miles it says service engine soon. and i believe mycolor says your average mpg
Oh I see....it'll say "service your engine soon." Mine only has 2500 mile on it and the only info that has chimed in was low tire pressure. Yes, My Color tells me my average mpg.....also how many miles are left on the gas tank.

If you want it that bad, then that's fine, but I think most people on here would agree with me that it's an interesting novelty item, and occasional conversation piece, but beyond that, you forget and learn to not care about it rather quickly.
+1 I thought it would be cool too, but so far I've had the car a year as of Sunday, and to date I've never changed it from the blue it was on!! If my car didn't come with it, I wouldn't spend a penny to put it in, JMO...In fact, I think Ford dropped it for '08, right?

Someone needs to find a way to switch the colors every N seconds. Now that could be useful at a show.

Ordered my 6 cluster instrument panel and switch from Ed Olsen from Parr Ford. Although the 6 cluster cames with "mycolor", I was more interested in the 2 additional guages and message center.
Received the instrument panel within 5 days of ordering date, installed in about 15 minutes, sent core back the next day and two days later was credited for the core charge.
Although I did get a tire sensor failure (expected as my GT doesn't have tire sensors installed), a quick trip to the dealership and a "as built" reprogram (cost 1 hour labor) and I was a happy camper.
Ordering from Ed, installing the cluster was painless.
