Default Pinion Angle...Again!!! Help!!!

Ok(CrazyAl or somebody)...I have read all I can on the search function but want to make sure. I am putting in a one-piece driveshaft. My trans flange reads -4 degrees with car level and suspension loaded. The pinion flange needs to read -4 degrees also to make thedrivelineparallel ( 0 degrees)? It seems as though I would want+4 degrees to cancel the angles out(which doesn't match what I am reading). I have all rod ends and a watts link so I should leave it there at 0 degrees. If I wanted more negative pinion angle I would adjust the nose of rearend down to -6 and I would have -2 degrees angle. Is this right. For some reason I am good at math and mechanics and this is blowing my mind!!!
Thanks for the help

Not necessarily. All driveshafts are not exactly the same and so if all of the one piece DS were reset back to a relative frame of reference pinion angle of 0 degrees (assuming the 0 degrees is a common point of reference), then the angles reading 0 degrees for different types of Driveshafts would mean that the angle is actually off because a one piece and 2 piece should not be adjusted right back to the same position of 0 degrees when so many variables have changed. The new pinion angle is supposed to compensate the change; make up for the point of articulation that you had in the two piece that you no longer have with the one piece. (so your idea of cancellation is the right concept) Thus, adjust the upper control arm accordingly. Your Driveshaft should come with instructions as to what angle is recommended for the vehicle (lowered and stock) specific to that DS manufacturer spec.
