I do not know if I would be able to do it the right way. My luck I would snap off one of the "fine hairs" and than my car would have more dead space.......

They're springy, and welded to the tabs. You'd have to pull or bend them really hard to snap one off.

Ford engineered it that way so that they could bend back and forth millions of times over the life of the car and not break.

if it works... and i'm sure it probably does. maybe some day i'll try it, but i'm not an early adopter kind of person. i'd like to hear more testimonials.

a poll would be nice. "i did it and it works"or "i did it and it doesn't work".

The drawings help a lot. Personally I opened up the case and put a spacer in and it's working beautifully.
