Can someone send this to a Ford exec?

I mean granted they want to make it easy on noob manual drivers, and avoid people running into people's bumpers with too much throttle, but they could lessen the current gap by at least some.

I mean it's like a full inch of dead space. If someone gives me an address I'll write a brief letter.

no ford cant/wont do anything about it...this only affects some cars.....there are many that dont have the deadspace. Its not a manufacturing problem IMO. As mentioned the holes are obling and i am sure that this allows for the tolerances.

It is a manufacturing issue... That's like saying "Oh my clutch engages 1" off the floor, but his engages 6" off the floor, it's just because they didn't adjust it right"

That's sitll a manufacturing issue. Seriously, a whole inch of dead space in a throttle is absolutely ridiculous. My car used to be SO hard to drive when it was like that, couldn't shift smoothly as you couldn't apply throttle immediately after letting the clutch out. You couldn't Heel Toe downshift, couldn't double clutch, couldn't start out smoothly, etc

I totally agree. I mean maybe for a first timer having a large gap makes it easier to make shifts.

But for anyone who has done manual for even a couple weeks, shifting is so much easier and smoother with this mod.

I checked the other 2 cars in my Garage: an Audi and a Lexus, and neither of them have any dead space.
