it looks like it might be on the wrong side, but really, its fine and feels pretty natural.

i thought the same thing when i bought it. i was like WTF! but now that ive driven it, im 110% used to it, and when your parked and its pulled up, it makes a nice arm rest. lol.
It really is!
It's great when i'm just parked listening to music... instead of having to hold my arm up to the radio, it provides a nice rest .

And when it's not engaged it tucks down level with the center console so it's not in the way of shifting.

nah, i think the other side is the wrong side, wtf, why would i want to reach around to the other side, or have my passenger have that much easy access to my e-brake.

It's not in the way. It is different at first when you are use to having it on the other side, but it's a minor deal.

Agreed, it's not in the way.
Not sure why one would think so.
But, if they had put it on the other side, maybe the cup holders could've been shifted left instead of being centered behind the stick.

In my '81 it was where our cupholders were. I can't remember where the cupholders were in that car... I do remember driving with my beer between my legs... so maybe there weren't any at all!

Every car I have owned has had the e-brake in the same position...some are just bigger and more noticeable. JMO

My 03 V6 has it on the other side and it is a little awkward, but the 06 GT is much more comfortable.
