Check your tire pressures, and make sure they're cold when you do. Since tire rated load varies with inflation pressure, you might want to put them one or perhaps two psi above the door sticker numbers while you're at it.

trying to figure out how all four of you get in there?? I keep my back seats down as they are useless ... my 4 year old bearly fits back there -- talk about being cramped... haha... I would be sure to call shotgun everytime -- [8D]

My friends and I are pretty big guys (football players) and we've never had a problem except for space and we weigh (280+310+210+200) about 1000 pounds combined! Damm those backseats, way to small!

You'll be fine. Just give youself a little more space and distance as your braking will suffer with the extra weight. But Im very sure the car wont fall apart.

You must have a huge 4 year old. My 14 year old weighs 225# and rides back there all the time including a round trip to San Diego (2600 miles) and a round trip to Missouri (2000 miles).

Not necessarily. You'd be amazed at the amount of space that currently-available child seats take up. My 2 year old granddaughter kicks the seats in every vehicle she rides in without having to stretch, including in our '01Maxima and our daughter's Honda Pilot. Width-wise, two adults and the toddler is a really tight fit in the (full-size) Pilot.
