Ok.. Please read and help in any way possible....

First after I installed my procharger the first time I noticed one day that after I took out my fuel pump the gas gauge suddenly went to to E and it said 0 miles till empty with plenty of gas in the tank.... So I took it back out and looked at it and installed it again.. Problem went away until the tank get a little under half full and then every time I get on it or accl. or turn right the needle goes to empty and says 0 miles till empty.. When it levels back out is when I am just driving normal... It has been doing this for 6 mnths..

I built the motor and replaced my fuel pumps with GT500 pumps and system thinking this would fix the problem..I thought that maybe the floater might have gotten messed up or something.. Nope this did not fix the problem either.. The only other thing I can think of is the pump on the passenger side.... I have taken that one out to see if it was the problem and could not see anything out of the norm.... But what else could it be...Also the other day I did not know exactly how much gas I had in it because it was freaking out going to empty then back to normal so I ran comletly out of gas..Bone dry and when I got to the gas station it would only let me pump 10 gallons in it.. Do we not have a 16 gallon tank????

Is there still heats hrink on the yellow sender wirewere the metal connector is? If that grounds to the pump it wil lscrew up your gauge reading.

Are you sure you put the pumps in the right way? If the front of the car is 12 o'clock then the float should be at 3 o'clock. there's a small metal rectangle that the pumps sit in as you probably know and I bent my float all up on that stupid thing.[:@]

 

Mine is half full and reads E about 10% of the time. Has to do with a bad fuel sending unit and fuels sulfer content. It gives me a check engine light, your give any lights? -Jon

 

if everything is installed correctly then add a cleaner with techron in it. Just took my wifes car in for same thing and they supposedly have a tsb for it and put the additive in it and has been working fine so far. they said something builds up on the sensor and causes it and I didnt pay a whole lot of attention because I felt it was a bunch of crap since I have never had that problem in any other car ive ever had and think it is a design error. I well ask my wife when she gets home and see if she has a copy of the repair order
