third brake light replacement

third brake light replacement

I didn't see any screws to take off the assembly, does it just pop off, I don't want to force anything and break it. I need to replace the bulb

Take it to Ford -- it's part of your warrenty... at least mine was when I went in for an oil change...

I'm pretty sure it is accessed through the inside of the trunk lid.

This is correct. To avoid finger prints on my black paint I always close my trunk by grabbing the inside of the trunk where there are sort of cut-outs in the metal and pulling down so that I never touch the exterior. Well one day I was not paying attention and accidently grabbed the plastic housing which covers the latch on the trunk lid. Pulled down and POP...off came the plastic piece to reveal the 3rd brake light bulb. If you don't decide to take it in to the dealer, just pop that piece off and you'll be in business.
