Default Going on a diet

What can I do to really drop the weight of the car? So far on my christmas list are a lighter driveshaft and a back seat delete. I'm open to all suggestions minus removing the a/c and the stereo. Any Suggestions?

For starters
1) Spare tire and jack
2) Front swaybar delete kit

I would start with these.

tear the engine out... lol that will lighten her up

but seriously get some light rims (less than 15lbs)
a carbon fiber hood to replace ur sheet metal one
replace all the windows with plexy glass (will scratch so beware)
replace front seats with ultra light racing 5pt harness seats
o/r pipe takes a few lbs in cats off

with those and the driveshaft and rear seat fixes you should shed alot of weight hope that helps

Thanks for the input so far. Problem is, this is still going to be a street car so things like the spare tire and plexy windows won't really be ideal. I also think getting lighter wheels isn't a possibility, since I'm going turbo with forged internals I was planning on adding 18x9/10 to help with traction. I was looking at some racing seats as well and I already have the x-pipe. My main inspiration is the gt500, maybe it's just me be but I feel like a car with that kind of power should be faster than that so I'm aiming for the 550 mark with better acceleration and handling. Guess I can start getting a list together to give to everyone close to me

I figured going the motor mount install when they build my engine would be the best time, keep the suggestions rolling!

Well if you wanna drop the weight you have options -- it's just a matter of what you choose --

1 Piece Lightweight Driveshaft -- Aluminum Flywheel -- Carbon Fiber Doors (Seibon makes them) -- Front Swaybar delete (BMR) -- Rear Seat Delete -- Carbon Fiber Hood -- Carbon Fiber Trunk -- loosing the spear tire and jack will help (you already said no to that) -- racing seats -- drain your windshield wiper fluid [8D] --

Hotwheels makes a complete Carbon Fiber Kit but it's expensive

If you wanna wait for it there are some Carbon Fiber Rims for the S197 that are coming out here soon too ... talk about light, they weighed 13 - 15 lbs

With the front swayvar delete, I've read that it's for drag racing applications, does that man I'll have problems driving with it on normal roads where there are turns and things of the sort?
