You guys do realize that "BP" logo on your gas cap amounts to an advertisement, right?

RE: BP fuel
For the most part gas is a commodity. It either comes from the local refiner or pipeline.
The only difference is the additive package.
Just make sure you buy from someone who has high volume (this reduces contamination and staleness)
and has TopTier Certification. The EPA requirement for detergents is wholy inadequate.

RE: BP fuel
I use Valero 95% of the time.
If I cant get to one nearby I'll stop at Shell, Chevron or Texaco.
I have friends who put gas in their cars from AM/PM and grocery stores with pumps (Vons, Costco, etc) but I wouldn't put that stuff in my car if you paid me.
PS: I haven't seena BP location ina long time. The last one around here (that I can remember) closed years ago.

RE: BP fuel
Only Shell and BP carry 93 in my area (except for a couple budget stations that I stay clear of). Shell was giving me terrible trouble with my AFR so I switched to BP and have had no problems. Shell uses a bit of alcohol in their gas.

My local BP station says Amoco on the pumps, lol! My car is tuned for 91 and I use BP 93 with no problems. I do have a chevron station, but it is a dump and I wouldn't trust the place.
