It was bound to happen....
So I got my first ticket in my mustang, I've had it a year and a half, I guess that's not to bad. Not to pleased but oh well. So my question is how much do you think the ticket is going to be. I am trying to prepare my self for the day the letter arrives. I was clocked doing 69 in a 55. Any ideas would be helpful.

69 in a 55..the cop must have been bored...the price should be written right there on the ticket though..been a while since i've got a ticket but i was pretty sure the fee was marked right on it

I thought the same thing, 69 in a 55 is actually kinda slow, but maybe he needed to make his turkey day quota. Here in CA they keep you in suspense until the dreaded letter arrives then you have like 10 days to pay.

I've gotten a ticket going 60 in a 55...speed trap..dropped down to 55 for about 1/4 mile on an open, empty road. Only speeding ticket ever...wasn't even in my mustang. I don't think police officers actually have "quotas" though.

Yes, like I said I have used it 3 times... It's a pretty good book with a very logical defense. It basically tells you how to ambush the prosecutor by challenging the equipment used to get your speed. i.e. was the gun checked? was the tuning for checked? does the serial numbers match both things... and on and on... basically down to the core. Twice the prosecutor didn't have the paperwork required to prove this. Another it was discovered the cop didn't accuratly check the radar gun as required. Unfortunately others that were caught on the same day as me most likely didn't see the same fate as I did since I am sure they just paid the ticket.
But it does require some reading, some nerve, and public speaking skills, cause ultimatly it's you defending yourself in court...
I wouldn't mind passing the book on, but I left my USB Thumb drive at work and won't be back there until Monday.
