Something to do with the air/fuel ratio possibly? If the A/F ratio isn'tright it will most definitely hurt your numbers.
I was thinking the mixture looked a bit lean on his chart. Glad to see I wasn't the only one.

Well, A stock pony is going to lay down what, 260rwhp if she's pushing 300hp. 273rwhp is a good solid number, especially as you've [just]basically smoothed the airflow. Inlet & exhaust mods are good but you really need Cam & headwork to reap big returns from them.

You might get a bunch of numbers from different dynos but the best dyno is your own rear-end. Does it feel better? Crisper?
I agree. The numbers are pretty close to right on with his mods. Looking at your A/F and considering the shop used a A/F tail pipe sniffer rather than an installed A/F wideband the A/F is probably in the zone of 12.8 - 13.2 range which is recommended for N/A cars.

The next time you do a pull, datalog the session and email it to your tuner along with the WinPep7 pull file.

A good Comp Cam, new valve springs and a set of long tube headers should get him just over 300rwhp from where he is now with a Custom Tune (not canned)Cost will be about $4000 installed.

That is really lean like everybody has been saying do you get any knocking or pinging. I would say $75 for a new tune and some piece of mind would be well worth it. F the bucks
GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

4000?!..heck for 1k-2k more just go supercharger and be above 400...LOL..seriously as others have said you are running too lean..get a new tune....that should definitely have u closer to 300 rwhp..but again don't get too hung up on numbers...your seat of your pants is the dyno you want to impress..good luck..

Altitude?

Go to the track, and if you are trapping 106mph, that dyno is wrong.

Id say the dyno was off... I had my car (auto) dyno'd with just a C&L Racer CAI with Sutton High Performance tunes and it pulled 276 rwhp and 296 rwtqand that was on a dyno jet.
I put my car back to stock form and had my car dyno'd again today on a Mustang Dyno and my stock #s are 237 Rwhp and 297 rwtq, talk about a let down, I put the Intake back on and have pulleys waitingto be installed next weekend then I am going to have it dyno'd again.
LMFAO, your car should laydown atleast 265rwhp stock. That and your not gonna gain 39rwhp from just an intake.
If you read my postI stated that my 1st Dyno pull was done on a Dyno Jet with just a CAI and XCAL tune.
I since had the car put back to stock form including the factory air box and had it dyno'd again but this time ona MUSTANG DYNO. the print out showed 237 rwhp and 290 rwtq with the a/f ratio of 12.6
I wanted to see what the difference the 2 dyno's make, I was told that a Dyno Jet would be about 20 or so higher than a Mustang Dyno.
I have since put my CAI back on the car and put the tune back in it and will be installing my pulleys next weekend and then having it dyno'd again on the Mustang Dyno.

As far as the so called 265 rwhp in stock form; that may be the case for a MANUAL TRANS done on a DYNO JET NOT on a MUSTANG DYNO, Do the test comparison yourself you'll see

Thanks for the clarification Tormentor, I was going to ask if everyone was taking intoconsideration the fact that you used a Mustang Dyno because that makes a difference. I refuse to use a Dynojet because I want to know how much power I have under real world conditions. I don't dislike the dynojet, but the accuracy of the numbers is very important to me. I have trouble with my numbers not taking the weight of my vehicle into consideration as well as other factors. By the way, my 06 GT auto came in at 236rwhp on the Mustang Dyno so it is nice to hear what other GT's are putting out. Now I'm at 264rwhp with JLT2 and 93 tune from brenspeed.

Your problem is the crappy Steeda tune. I've said this over and over that Steeda tunes suck! Ask any of the popular tuners on this forum's vendor list. Brenspeed, Evo, Bama, they'll all tell you the same thing. Back in the day when i was N/A i had a Steeda CAI and Steeda tune=265whp, then went to C&L CAI and Brenspeed tune = 293whp, same Dyno, approx same temps.

That's why I'm not taking my car to a dyno until I have more mods done!
I'm afraid of getting disappointed.

My opinion is that the combination of mods is what gives you more power!
So, you should choose the best combination of mods together!

I'd get Long Tube Headers, that should add a lot.
But then again I know how it feels to be a broke college student [8D]

Congrats on the Big Ten .. I go to Penn State btw!
Hard to tell from your sig pic, but I believe I've seen you riding around in SC. Quite a few Mustangs up there, but few GT's.

I got mine about a month before I graduated in May. Man, I miss that place.

WE ARE....

~Fletch~

....PENN STATE!!

I got my car last March, so you must've seen it! But I didn't see yours anywhere!!

Yeah very few GT's here! A friend of mine has a Black GT with the 3D Carbon body kit on it. And there is a Tungsten GT I see around most of the time, but that's about it!

I've got a long way to graduate, LOL! .. May 2010!! But I'm enjoying it!
Yea I've definitely seen yours around then. Don't remember seeing the Black GT w/kit. Loved to drive the 'circuit' and also out to Whipple Dam state park. There are some real nice country roads if you drive out west college. Good cruising (and deserted places to have some fun ).

Good luck man! Enjoy it while it lasts...because it seems like it went really quick!

~Fletch~

P.S. I still make it up there from time to time...maybe I'll see you around!

i made 291 wiht only intake, tune and cutouts... and a custom dyno tune from VMP

thats real low considering some ppl get anywhere from 5-10 on the UDP's and another 5 or so from the CMCV's.. and you have your x, but catted.. so i dunno.. if that was all on my car.. i would be breaking 300 for sure..
