put car away for the winter season, I checked car about a week or so later to find a stone dead battery. put jump pack on & started right up. found no lights left on.
the only thing different was i left the windshield wipers up (off the windshield).

i got the answer for you my friend. i had the same problem and did my research, its the radio. if you leave the radio on after the car is turned off and then open the door, the display will turn off, but the amps will still stay on. my battery would last 2 days and die, but then i made manually turning the radio off a habit and it lasted months without a noticable dip in charge, much less a dead battery. the s197s are apparently plagued by this and ive heard stories of even cobras dead on the lot when customers come to pick them up. if worse comes to worse, invest in a 5 dollar battery disconnect and just disconnect it when its in storage. dont replace the battery like i did, im now 150 dollars out. try this and tell me if it works

Brutal Battery problem with my stang! Ive been back and forth with ford or about....a year now. My car lasts about3 days, even with manually shutting of the radio. So they cant fgure out what the hell is wrong with it. Very frustrating that ive had to boost my new car more times then my 11 year old winter truck!
