Default s/c question

Hi guys,

I know this has probably been asked a zillion times, but here goes:

I am shopping for a s/c. My mind has been made up on the roush s/c because of warranty. But is this really a good choice? Also, I like the look of the super chargers like the roushes. i don't like the hair dryer look at all. Are there any s/c that sit on the intake like the roush does, and is a lot cheaper? I looked on google, i ran circles.. thanks for the help. If buy a roush s/c is a bad move, i'd like to know before i do it. I may do it in Dec instead of Feb is why i'm asking.

if keeping your warranty is a requirement AND
you want an intercooled system.....then
the roush and base saleen kit, are your options

-
if you decide you don't care about the warranty,
you can go with saleen stage 1+, kenne bell, whipple,
or steeda-magnuson

I believe that even with the Roush and/or Saleen kits, to retain the warranty it has to be installed by Ford............

No offense....but you really need to do your homework here. Personal preference and finances play a big role into choosing, but there are so many different options out there and factors that one must consider.

I, however, would choose the Whipple. I only hear good things about them, very positive gains. They look awesome (especially the high polished ones). I have also heard Kenne Bell makes a damn good supercharger too.

Roush? Eh, no. Not for me.

The Roush is old school tech and less efficient than all the twin screws, they call it a hybrid roots system. Do you want to drive a hybrid. If you can get a warrenty and that is a must for you; go with Whipple or the Saleen. You will not blow your motor with 8 psi and the stock tune with any of the twin screws (I have never heard of it anyways).
I found a dealer that is "mod friendly" so I was not worried about the warrenty. When I did have a problem with my TBthey replaced under warrenty.

I didnt know whipple made the type tht fits over the intake, i thought they were all the hair dryer looking ones. Thanks man, i'll have to google some whipple stuff and read up on them.

very nice! I must be google challenged, when i search for s/c i get the worst built websites ever, and 90% say call for pricing we are the cheapest, or some crap like that.... i'll keep at it.. in the mean time, don't be afraid to post good sites that offer s/c's for mustangs.
