Got my car sideways
I guess what you meant by "how do you control it" is how do you drift? First you gotta get your car to slide which can be easily done with your throttle at low speeds. Once you do you're supposed to countersteer (it was a left turn so turn the wheels to the right) and control the rear of the car with the throttle. The more throttle you give it, the faster the rear end is gonna move sideway so just try to find a balance at which it's gonna slide just the way you want it to. A mistake that I noticed I had when I was doing that is that I'd let me foot off the gas and still countersteer so my car would end up going to the side so make sure if you practice there's no curbs or fences around (just like they said, try to find an empty parking lot with no poles or something).
Now if by how do you control it you meant what do you do when your car is poewrsliding and you didn't do it on purpose, countersteer just a little bit and at the same time let your foot of the gas. Make sure you don't do it too late.

do the countersteer but dont completely take your foot out of the gas, feather it. and also if you give it a little blip to as your sliding here and there it helps as well. Hard to explain, easier to pratice. definitley find and empty lot and have oodles of fun, lol i was driving down a road last week, saw a big empty lot, pulled in, did a doughnut and a powersteer and then headed off before the law could figure out what was goin on. lol. gotta find opurtune moments to practice it.
Just my own Definitions:
Powerslide - A controlled slight kicking out ofthe tail end of your car and maintaining it consistently throughout the turn by using the gas and countersteering judisciously until your turn is complete (typically maintained at 45° angle or less). Then heading off into the sunset with minimal if any correction. Results in fun.
Drifting - a more severe scenario of above to where the car maintains an almost perpendicular stance to your turn until complete(>60° angle). Results in fun.
Fishtailing - An uncontrolled kicking out of the tail end of your car usually created by the non-judicious use of gas and/or countersteering while in a turn. Results in panic and potential accident caused by sliding or overcorrection in the opposite direction.
A good powerslide allows you to maintain your position on the gas or slowly increasing the throttlewithout having to let off or feather halfway through the turn. If you have to let off halfway through the turn, it's because you were to heavy on the gason your way into the turn or going to fast to begin with.
Blipping the throttle is not a good idea as it could cause you to break traction if there is sand or dirt on the road. Feathering yes but eitherway the first reason for having to do either of these corrections is incorrect entry to begin with.

i just hit the gas in 1st gear while turning and as the rear end starts coming out, i shift into 2nd and that bring my rear back into place
I would love to find a parking lot though w/ no cops and learn a lil. I know it has to do w/ throttle contrl and counter steering a bit

Ipersonally never powerslide in anything other than 2nd or 3rd (rare) 1st gear is too easy to give it too much gas and 3rd means I'm in a big **** turn (Freewayon-ramp) and already doing 45mph+ (would hate to lose control at that speed).
