This is for winter tire question, winter driving tips and all things related to our ponies in the snow and ice.

Chime in and keep this as informative as possible

I will continually edit my post to have a list of recommended tires at the top.

Well you cant really go wrong with the Blizzak tires. Ive had them on a few cars and have been really impressed. And a few bags of kitty litter in the back never hurt.(can double as traction as well as weight)

I went to the bridgestone website, and it says they dont make tires for the v6 mustang w/ pp. That's helpful.

I recommend keeping the gas tank full
Also if you do manage to get stuck in the snow, turn off traction control. It will only make getting unstuck impossible.
Take it easy and slow, and if you dont really need to go out, avoid it.
Also start off in 2nd gear if its really slippery.

Any snow tire will be better than an all season tire.
I prefer Goodyear Eagle Ultra Grip GW3's

Just sucks switching back to the 17"s for winter [:@]

That should be right. There was a guy on here the other day that called BS when I said I had a hard time doing dognuts in the Walmart parking lot on snow. I forgot to mention that my 225# son was in the back seat.

Some extra weight in rear (200#s is plenty!).
I got some Dunlop WinterSport M3's from tirerack (if you buy tires, I suggest them, and only them. Excellent all around.........best service I have encountered (along with Brenspeed))
Smooth inputs is key.........
