are they really worth it?

i was looking into radar jammers and ive been told that none of them work, then i was told that only active not passive work so wheres my questions:
1: whats the difference between active and passive?
2: do they really work?

Radar jammers are ILLEGAL! Laser jammers are not, and they work.

well... Radar JAMMERS are Illegal. So most people probably don't know too much about them.

And I would assume that active means it is always jamming the radar, and passive would be an on/off thing when it detects radar.

I could be wrong? but just giving my input.
