Default Staggered Look, Need Help!

Hi everyone, I'm about to buy a set of 17x9 Bullets for my 06. The question is what tire sizes can I run to give a staggered look, but keep the car leveled while mainting minimal fender gap.

I was thinking 255/50/17 in front and 275/40/17 in back

Any thoughts?

You will be fine with those sizes.

Tire sizes are fine. I would use different width rims to get the staggered look...You could go with a 10" rim in the back and a even slightly wider tire.

also, step up to an 18" if you want to keep more rubber wrapped around the tire. I think they are better tire options and it just looks a lot better...

i am a big fan of the bullitt wheels in 18": http://www.americanmuscle.com/bullittwheels.html

---

I have 20's F: 9" wide R: 10" wide

I am running a 255/35/20 in the Front and 275/35/20 in the Rear.

I was looking at AmericanMuscle for a while, and was considering the 18x9 & 18x10, problem is I'm not a big fan for deep dish look in the front. Which appears to be the only way they sell an 18.

I'm sure the 17x9 is what I want. My brother has them on his and it gives a nice blended look. I may just end up with running 255's all around. But the deal I'm getting on a set of Chrome bullets is too good to pass up. I'll probably be posting up for sale, my stock bullets which I had professionaly painted black to recoup some of the cost.

Yellow cars eh?

Idid 18x9s with 255/45s all around.
I nearly went staggerred but wanted to be able to rotate em.
(Also I think anthracite looked better on the yellow but the wife wanted chrome... It's her car after all..)

DoctorJ - mess around with tire sizes here:
http://www.bigcustomwheels.com/rt_specs.jsp

If you want to keep the fender wells full, the 275/40R17 you named is pretty small - 45 is better but still small.

Im not sure a 27.1" Front and 25.7"Rear are going to look good together.

I would use a245/45R17 (25.7) or 255/45R17 (26.0) tire on the front.

Actually if you are not deadset on 17x9 front and rear I would run a
17x9 F with 255/50R17 (27.1) and a 18x9.5/10.0/10.5 with a 285/40R18 Rear (27.0).
This illiminates the optical illusion that the front wheel is larger you get with staggered tires.
This is why the Vette comes with staggered wheel sizes. It will also fill the wheelwells better.
