grrr stupid cd player Bad Disk Error
well like usual, always a problem with fords lol well i took it in twice for service and other work such as the master cylinder cover leaking................now my cd player has been spitting out the cds at me when i drive and reading them as error or defective.......how ironic is it that the two times i've taken it to ford, the s.o.b. acts like normal but with me I cant listen to a cd for a minute and its ticked me off because the radio sucks in the morning when im driving 30mins in traffic to get to school..........
so what are my options?
maybe i should go for a tasteful system with navi like pioneers or another one, which do you recommend? i plan on taking out that stock unit and smashin it to pieces lmao i hate it...with only 8000 miles on the car, im disappointed in how long that cd player lasted.

yea i was lookin at the two dub-din ones since our car is made for that, one has a 30gb hard drive for music storage since its a 1 in disc instead of 6 disc but its $2200 and the other one is $1000 but doesnt have that harddrive option which would help since I dont own an ipod yet lol but that might be a $300 solution to getting the $1000 one and adding the ipod adapter :-) they plug right in from what i heard.
I can open a brand new cd and have the same thing happen. It says "bad disc". Mine doesn't do it all the time though. Ford has looked at it, but they couldn't duplicate the problem. However, they couldn't duplicate the throttle position sensor codes either, even though the computer stores those codes, and all they had to do was plug the damn thing in.[&:]
yea u see its not only me, but yea man what the hell do we do if ford cant duplicate the problem? this sucks....i call for the hammer to this one and a new pioneer navi, yet i dont have a $1000 for one right now lol
I dont know about aftermarket stuff, but I had the same exact problem back when school started this year. It was 105+ degrees outside though... I was leaving school and wanted to crank up the shaker 1k for the teenaged cool statement, lol and it went through all 6 discs and spit them out at me and it read bad disc... Lol and then my iPod wouldn't even turn on... I was mad. But after it was in the garage overnight and cooled down again it worked and I haven't had a problem since.
