Ok so for the last couple months my car has been acting weird. I took it in to ford for a engine light and they replaced my throttle body under warranty. That helped a little. I had problems with my car being really really boggy, during the boggy time i decided to get 4.10 gears. I was called 2 hours into the installation with my buddy saying that the pinion is stuck... wtf? 2 hours later it was done. We found out that the pinion was rusted. I have pics below. Should i go to ford and be like look at this??!?! or will they say it needs to be on the car and why did i get new gears. Anyways car is WAY WAY better, but it still doesnt feel "perfect". I went to the track and used my evolution race tune for 100 octane...well i think i used the wrong pump and got leaded because my car doesnt seem to be the same since, so im thinking about going catless (probably gutting out my cats). Should i do this? I think i could have clogged the cats...
OK LAST QUESTION SORRY GUYS. Im thinking of getting rid of my Evolution tune and going with brenspeed or bama... what do you recommend horsepower wise (i drivea 5spd in case you were going to ask)

I don't know how it got rusty......it's a sealed unit with gear oil in it, weird. I have the Brenspeed tunes, and I'm very happy with them.

Throw the stock airbox back on, load the stock tune back in and see if the car still acts weird.

I ordered a brenspeed tune, im going to get it dynod though, i know i make 310 with the evo tune and people say that high so i wonder if brenspeed can get the same horsepower or more/less. I dont remember who i talked to at brenspeed but they said that i should expect high 280s out of that... that sounds low as hell.

I know this is a complete guess, but Im wondering if Ford stores parts and lets them get wet at their factories by rain or whatever. They rust, and are later installed into cars.

Mine had no rust on them at all whn i took them out......and if all you have is headers/midpipe and CAI, 310 is a little high....assume:

Baseline dyno 260
headers/midpipe =15
CAI/Tune=25

Result 300 HP

with pullies, CMCV.........310 not out of the question........all on a dynojet of course
