this is by farrrrrrrrrrr the best looking hood I've seen for our cars, simple and sexy with the optional functional ram air. This is the hood i'm getting in the near future. EDIT: (actually comparing it to the supersnake hood, I think this might be it lol either way its similar and looks great)

Just FYI guys you can't run that hood, the SS, the KR, or the GT400 hoods with your stock bumpers. The GT or V6 bumpers will interfere with the hood closing.

Right, that's why you get the aftermarket hood from a place like Cervini that fits the GT like Va. Stang did, see his post https://mustangforums.com/m_4246842/tm.htm

FYI, that is not the GT500E, that is the GT500KR like I mentioned earlier. I know the difference, I was merely pointing out he had confused the name and model number. -Joe

Exactly, great hood, but you have to get a bumper etc so its a $3000 mod in the end...that is why i suggust on of the several Trufiber or Cervini hoods, they work well with the stock bumper setup

Yeah, but it sure is purrdy
If I got a hood, it would have to be with a functional ram air system and that particular one with the add on ram air would cost $1227. Yikes! Too bad money don't grow on trees.
Not to thread hijack, but how much actual realworld performance increase would one see from a functional ram air hood?

Probably so little increase that it couldn't even be tested accurately.

That's what I was thinking as well. So asthetic tastes aside, there really is no performance difference between a "functional" ram air hood and a stick-on Roush/Xenon/3D Carbon hood scoop.

I think the real 'benefit' from them are seen when you have a turbo or blower. Cool fresh air coming into your engine bay = good.

Actually, that's not correct. The incoming air is not heated engine compartment air, so it is truly getting "cold air" to the intake. That might not make huge differences in performance, but cold air is a proven performance benefit.

The Cervini ram air hood has a ram air kit to make it functional. It directsair over to the air filter so yes it is functional and yes it does provide benefit. As far as this hood goes, you'd have to call Cervini and ask if they have a ram air kit for this 1. I don't even know what this hood is called, I didn't see it on their web page. -Joe
