That's what I was thinking as well. So asthetic tastes aside, there really is no performance difference between a "functional" ram air hood and a stick-on Roush/Xenon/3D Carbon hood scoop.
Actually, that's not correct. The incoming air is not heated engine compartment air, so it is truly getting "cold air" to the intake. That might not make huge differences in performance, but cold air is a proven performance benefit.
I agree that has to provide better cooling for the engine compartment at speed, whether it will translate into HP gains that a measurable i dont know....but we all know how heatsoaked our cars get so this would have to help.

Can you give me a ballpark estimate what this true cold air is worth HP-wise (5 HP, 10HP...)? I was considering the Cervinis 67 Ram air hood with the functional Ram kit, but if it really doesn't add a lot, might just go with a stick on hood scoop for the look.

Are you guys sure it wont fit a GT, because I emailed some one about it at Fast Toy performance and they said it would fit my 2007 GT?? Why will it not fit, what gets in the way?

Pretty damn sure that it wont fit.....look at the bumper, its a GT500 setup, and that is not the same as stock GT setup, a GT hood works with the GT500 bumper but the GT500 hood doesnt work with the stock bumper because it is bowed in the middle section

It might fit.....the picture might not be the actual hood...if fast toys says it fits, get it, if it doesnt fit, they sure as hell will have to take it back and they should pay for the shipping! They are a good company and I trust them

Well if I was serious about getting that hood I'd give them a call, maybe there was a misunderstaning or mixup who knows, seems like a good company.

That's still not the hood I personally was looking for.

This is the SuperSnake hood as I know it (and the one I want)...
