They really don't look that bad, and they're removable. Takes just a few seconds. The back ones just clip on, and the front ones go under those plastic fasteners that hold the rocker panel on. I don't take mine off, though, and they have stayed on for about 6 months.

I have the Ford ones. They are molded in nicely and really keep the rear quarters clean. They aer as wide as the tire under the car so they won't even kick up stuff under the car that would end up on the back of the car while moveing. It is the one concession to the car being a DD.

I had the moulded ones but thought it looked too Val for my taste. They worked incredibly well, but just seemed too wide.
When I saw the new GT500 came with some on the back I ordered a pair for $12 from Ford's Part Dept.
They don't provide as much protection but are much better than nothing.
For them to fit correctly you'll need to drill new holes in them so that only half of them sticks out. I mounted mine using the factory holes, which is why it doesn't look like a perfect fit and the square hole is partially showing.
