I used the stock jack about a half dozen times to remove/detail my wheels this past summer - never had a problem with it. Guess you just got a bad one. I would think Ford would replace it under warranty. If not, a simple scissor jack like that is about 10-15 bucks at any auto parts store.

I went to Ford service dept. today. They are gonna replace it under warranty. They had to order one, so I should get it in a few days.

Same here for swapping the drags out at the strip. (Until I found a small old cheap jack in the garage from Venture. They havent been in business in a long time, lol)

At least you were stuck on the road!

I have to use the stock jack for a few inches until I can fit my better jack underneath the car. I really need to get a low profile jack.

Wish I'd thought of that before getting a regular floor jack from Mr Sears. When I got the Steeda Sport springs they lowered it 1/4-inch too much. My cure (so far) is a 4x6 piece of lumber cut at an angle so each half is a mini-ramp 6" wide, 4" tall, 18" long. I put them in front of the wheels on one end or the other, drive up on them, and then can get the jack into the right places. For some jobs the "ramps" at the edge of the garage floor plus the slant of the driveway give enough room to operate.

Please feel free to use this modern advanced technology idea.

Since it comes with the car and I assume it's still under BUMPER TO BUMPER warranty I'd say, yes, they should take care of it
