ive got 1400 miles on my shelby GT/SC now and the shifter has broken in a little, its not as notchy but still solid as hell the shifts are great.

So im curious how you guys kept your short shifter from rattling? I have a Roush short shifter and the short throw is awesome but if I dont keep my hand on it with pressure against it then it rattles like a mother f****r.

Steeda Tri-Ax! I had two Hurst shifters. They were both crap. I sent one back. The other one I junked.

By FAR and away the most badass of the badass for shifters. I have one, as do a LOT of other guys on here. The build quality is incredible, and the install is cake. Took about an hour with a floor jack and hand tools. The price, yes, well, but the old adage is always true - you get what you pay for.

And the cool thing about this shifter is that the throw length is adjustable. I have mine set as short as possible, and the throws are 1.75" from front to back. It's amazing! And, since installing it, I haven't missed third gear at all. However, for SOME reason, me and a lot of the other guys too, missed second the first few times drving it after install. The throw is so short, and the centering springs are so strong, you have to get used to it for a minute. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. MGW FTW!!!

I love my FRPP/Hurst short-throw shifter with the retro white shift ****. It has not rattled from the start. My local Ford dealership installed the shifter without a moment's hesitation.

I put the Hurst in my 05 and 07 and have no rattles. I absolutely love it. I got a great deal on the first one from some guy on TMS that works for B&M. I bought the one on my '07 from Brenspeed. $189.99 shipped.
