I was thinking about supercharging it with a 10-12 psi kit. how much psi can you run on a stock engine and feel safe anyway?

geebus, their numbers for the stage 2 cams they make are huge. i shrugged off the comp cams stage 3 because they dont give anough power but these guys say they get almost 390rwhp with their stage 2 cams and boltons. holy crap!

I would just go with a forged fully assembled short block before I would buy a kit like that unless you are doing all of the labor yourself, but even then I would still just go short block...

I'd be careful about going to a 302...many people have had problems with those kits because of knocking I think?

What does a full long block run for our S197's . I had someone PM me a place with a used GT500 Shelby motor with 6700 miles for $10,000.
Or is it better to buy a built short block with internals and transfer my heads Etc?
