Window Squeak
Morning everyone!
I know that this is a common problem that can develop on all cars, but I'm not sure what the cause is and unfortunately, my car is suffering the ailments of it. Whenever I roll down my driver's side window, I get that horrible fingernail on chalkboard type screech. What exactly causes this and how do I fix it? It seems to have started when the weather began turning colder, but I don't know if that's part of the cause or just a coincidence. The windows are tinted if that makes a difference.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm tired of cringing every time I have to roll down the window to get in and out of the parking garage here at work. [:@]
Thanks!
Cheers!

it affects me too, but i don't get a screech i get a sound like an acorn is stuck inside and is rolling around when i roll the window down i hate rolling the window down. I think I need to put some moleskin in the doors this spring
It's the rubber seal at the back of the window. Mine did it a few times as well and i trackedit down tothe seal at the back of the window. Not inside our outside but front to back. on the back of the window theres a little rubber seal that goes around the window.

If that doesn't work, then I make just ask the dealer about it since it's under warranty, but I was hoping for a quickfix first.
Mine does the same thing when wet. Even if the door is open and I let the window up or down they sound horrible. Very embarassing for a brand new car to be doing this.[:@]
Please help - someone has to know a fix for this problem.
Thanks, skyflier1971
