hmmm ok it looks to me like the whole thing is connected. could u point me in the right direction to get the plastic neck myself?

It's a V6 it's all one unit. i just don't unerstand how that could happen???

The plastic piece will unscrew from the valve/cam cover the same way the oil cap does. Some members have removed that plastic piece completly and just screw the oil cap directly to the valve/cam cover. I'll see ifI can find a write up on that.

oops, nevermind I was thinking GT...Your dealer is an A$$HOLE for not replacing that piece under warranty.

lol i agree. well ive contacted Ford and they claim they'll get back to me later today or 2morrow. like i asked in my first post if they won't do it under warranty am i better off paying Ford to fix it or taking it to another place. can another place even get the part i need?

any service center can order that part but they order it from Ford.

How could this happen? Do you remember when it did? (no big deal if you did.) But if some shop did this, they should fix it. I agree on looking for a different dealer. There's got to be one somewhere that will file it under design flaw/warranty work/future customer relations and fix it under warranty for you.
