IMO, that's a really nice car - but unless you can wrench it (and afford to wrench it) you probably shouldn't get that car. Cars are this: you buy 'em, drive 'em, and throw 'em away. You're 16. Save the money for a house, or something else you want later in life.... maybe college?

Further, the older muscle cars (Chevelles, Stangs, etc.) keep appreciating in value. Your mustang will only decline in value.
However, I would not do it if it was my daily driver.

Definitely trade him, and then politely request that he take those wheels off and throw them into a volcano.
