Is it a problem if yours is only 3 1/2 inches? Are we still talking about Antennas?

I saw an "antenna" (felt inclined to specify) that was 3.5" but I never found where you could buy one like it? in this case, the shorter the better imo, as long as it works.

I've thought about a FM booster but don't know how well they work or if there is potential for engine noise?

mine didn't come with the tiny bead for the end... How do you get the one off the fishing pole length stock one?
I've been scraping my arm when I put the cover on.

Oh and yes, no reception difference with the shorter antenna for me.

You mean you can cut your factory attenna??? I guess I never thought of that...Whats the downside to doing this I use my satelite radio all the time so technically I wouldnt even need the factory attenna then right???

I bought a 14" antenna off of E-Bay for $13. Works like a charm. Look for
AntennaX .com
