Got a 6' incher... antenna. No FM problems, lost 1/3 of AM stations... so long local sports!

I saw an "antenna" (felt inclined to specify) that was 3.5" but I never found where you could buy one like it? in this case, the shorter the better imo, as long as it works.
I got one here.

How much of a pain is it to replace the original antenna with an aftermarket one?

Depends on how hard you have to look for the adjustable wrench...

We are running NO ANTENNA on our cars (shaved), and great reception. (windshield mount antenna)

2007CalSpec, that 9 inch looks pretty good! I'm leaning that direction. Thanks for the pics!

EricM, what kind of reception do you get with that 3.5"?

Stang Skeleton, I'd love to go that route (windshield antenna)but I have not liked the antenna deletes I've seen, so far.

Hmmm, 4.5" grinder with a cut off wheel, a touch of black spray paint and a artist brush. Just removed my antenna and eyeballed my length. Cut it with the grinder and hit the brush with a touch of paint and applied to the cut. Reinstall antenna, done. Cost me nothing but 5 minutes. Don't need the ball but a $.05 vacumme cap would work nice too.
