Ford Commercials?
why on all ford commercials when they show the mustang, its always the v6 they show? is it because they can advertize the the lower costing version of the car? they dont even mention the GT

depends on your broadcast area and the audience demographics.
Stop watching the kiddie shows on Nickleodean!
Of course, maybe they don't want to show the price/ month on a GT, as it can shock almost anyone considering buying a Mustang!

Dont tell me you never seen the GT comers, The son/dad burn out in the parking lot. The field (build it and he will come) take odd from field of dreams, The son returning home from war etc.. they are out there.. But when they can show the stang and show 19k new.. that gets people more intersted then 30k+ new..
There are a few Shelby comers out there as well.

+1. The GT and Shelby are made for the car enthusiast. The V6 is made for the mass market. If you're watching a commercial on some kind of show that's made for the mass market (ie not a show about performance cars) you're going to see the mass market car, the V6.
There are GT and Shelby commercials, but they're less common and seen basically only on car shows, since the GT and Shelby Mustangs are made for the enthusiasts watching those shows, and not so much for the mass market.
In terms of Mustangs, the V6 is like Ford's cash cow, whereas the GTs and Shelby are made to show off engineering/design ability to the much smaller niche performance auto market.

The one that is running right now in So Cal really irritates me....Great commercial showcasing the GT. Shows a beautiful, lowered, Grabber Orange GT thru the whole commercial....even states the "American Muscle Mustang GT"
Then, at the end of the commercial while they are pushing the 299 a month lease, the car magically changes to a Pony Package....God only knows how many unsuspecting buyers have gone in looking for that 299 a month GT......[:@][:@]
