Default Oilcap Gone? Am i in trouble? PICS HELP

So i was just checking things out on the new car (got home with her on friday evening) and i noticed my oil cap was not on. I don't know if it was on before but i did check the oil and everything before we bought it and it was all good so idk if it was already off when we bought it. But is there anything i could have hurt by that not being on there? It has been super wet and cold here since i have had it.

Here are some pics

It it was dry and dusty, that would have been worse, Just get a cap for it. most likely no damage, good luck with your new Mustang.

you should change the oil just as a protection against removing any contaminants that may have gotten in the system. Did you buy this car new? I would call the dealer.

If there is no oil splatter, I would think its only been off a short time.
Just get a cap and change the oil/filter.

Change your oil and filter thenput ona new cap. Should be no big deal. It look pretty clean so you probably didn't blowmuch(if any)oil out. I wouldn't worry.

I wonder if the guy you bought it from had a nice, aftermarket cap on there and kept it...
forgetting to install the OEM cap.
Call and ask him where it is.
Put it on and change that oil.
Could covering it with foil or a rag and a rubberband to hold it work in the meantime?
