Default Used Gears

I have a set of Ford OEM 4.10 Gears for a 8.8 that are out of a wrecked low-mileage Explorer.
They look like new. Has anyone ever tried installing used gears?
I know the contact pattern will change some. Is this an issue?
I dont see why it wouldnt work. I have changed Diffs before and reused the stock
gears and this would move the contact pattern also.

They will work, They will most definately make noise. Not a recommended process.

Thats what I was afraid of.

Install is free (Im good buds with the Ford Tech that does the gear installs at the local dealer.)

PS Why does changing the diff but not gears (Open to locker) not cause noise? I know the contact pattern changes.
