As you can see in this pic of the finished product, I painted the brackets too. Gives it a more finished look and makes the caliper look bigger.

That looks soooo sweet! I really think red looks so good on the white Stangs.....thanks for the pictures! Makes me want mine done even more! s ~

calipers come off really easy. 2 bolts. just dont go stepping on the brake pedal when its off. And it will slip right back on.

One suggestion, get hi heat clear and spray that over the color you put on. Put 2 or 3 coats on.

Don't be afraid of taking off the calipers - it really is not difficult. Two bolts and you're done. I hung the front calipers by a coat hanger to my springs. Two coats of the Duplicolor stuff - $16 at O'Reilly - and they look great. I would steer clear of the spray stuff - I've heard bad things. The little can they give you in the kit is plenty to do two cars - or to keep on the shelf for touch-ups.
The back calipers were a little trickier, because there is nowhere to hang them. So I just propped them on a jack stand.
One bit of advice that I read and didn't follow - GET A DIFFERENT BRUSH!!! I painted my front calipers with the crappy brush they give you. Then when I did the back calipers, I went to Wal-Mart and bought a $3 set of paint brushes from the craft section, and they worked MUCH better.
Anyway, I love the way mine turned out...

What bad things have you heard? I did my girlfriend's calipers about 10,000 miles ago and they still look perfect. The paint looks a lot better than the brush on stuff too.
