Default Electronic problem???

Ok I installed a hard wire kit for my radar detector through my passenger side fuse box... well the wire broke today and after I got it stripped and reconnected I turn on the car and my "Check Engine Light" is on... could that be something with the fuse box or is it just a really bad coincidence?

For some backround on the install I used a "Add a fuse" and was/am running 2 10amp fuses out of one 10 amp fuse slot (supposedly these are used alot and I shouldnt have this problem).

Well hope someone knows if this is teh fuse or not and how I can fix it myself if possible. I have a SCT X-CAL2 that I can reflash the comp with and then put my tune back in if that will fix it.

thanks for the help,
James

I just checked and I had a 15amp and a 10amp fuse in one of the slots... could that have caused it?

Unplug your battery cable for 15 minutes to clear it. I doubt it'll come back on.

yes, it can cause a MIL for the electrical system.
