Default Wind noise at 90+

So I'm on the highway going about 90 and I hear this wind noise coming from the rear somewhere. I stop and check to see if the passenger door is closed all way which it was, the windows were up and tight, I think it's coming from a rear side window or more likely the back glass, anyone else hear the same noise?

Hmmm, well first off... let's not kill someone driving 90 on the freeway.

Anyways, on a pretty windy day, I can hear that same kinda noise in my 00 stang when on the highway. Unless it's really bad, it's probably something totally normal.

Cars just make noise when they go fast. Do you normally drive that fast or is this the first time you've really driven that fast?

I have been up there a couple of times in my 05 GT. I don't recall the noise your are speaking of. I can here that engine pushing along though.

Have you been through a car wash yet ?? I use a touchless, nothing but high pressure water wash. My pass, side window has a small leak, water drips down the inside of the car.

This may indicate some fit issues with the side glass. Not sure though.

I've maxed the speedo and I don't hear any unusual noises.

Cool! Did it stop when you got to max speedometer mark of 149mph (240kph) or did it actually go past the last mark? What was the engine RPM?

Stops at the last mark which is 145 I believe. I can't remember what the revs were.

I HAVE A SLIGHT LEAK IN MY DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WITH HIGH PRESURE WATER ALSO. HAVN'T GOT HER UP TO 90 YET BUT THAT MAY BE WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM.

I've heard quite a few people with that same problem. Probably could come up as a TSB/recall eventually if enough are reported.

I was disappointed to have a speedo "only" go to 140 but you're right there is a 145 mark past the 140. If you want to get nitpicky (like me) the last real mark if 240 kph which comes out to about 149 mph. So that's only 11 mph below my last car so thats not so bad Not like I'll be up there much but it's nice to know how fast you're going if you ever do. I'll have to try it myself now that I've broken mine in, need to change the oil first.
