Wow I just bought the same exact thing last weekend, except for the bluetooth thing. I also got the sirus adapter for it. I haven't installed it yet, but I can't wait. Just been to busy. Congrats.

not sure if I wanna try and install by myself... best buy says they can do it for 200 bucks and then another 100 to bypass the amp.... do you need to bypass the amp? or are they blowin smoke up my butt?

they are blowing smoke.....you need asmallresistor for the amps and that is it to work with the shaker 500/1000 subs

As for the D3, i went with the Z1 double din so i wouldnt have to deal with switching DVD/CDS and the cleaner look. To each his own though.

Don't pay 200 bucks to get it installed. I installed a d3 in my mustang about 4 months ago. Its easy just alot of wires but there all color coded. And having to change to the nav dvd isn't that much of a pain, you put the dvd in, set your location and eject the nav disc. I also have the sirus adapter and the ipod adapter. I hid the sirus box in my glove box and ran the ipod apadater under the center console and into the storage area under the middle arm rest. All in all the install took me about 2hrs. Just make sure you check your antenna connections before you put everything back together I had to take mine out 2 times.

A 5 volt voltage regulator works better than a resistor.
Available at RadioShack.
TO-220 package. 3 leads. One is 12V in, one is ground and
the last lead is 5 volts out. 12V from receiver, ground to
the vehicle ground and the 5 volts to the shaker amps.
