Default Deluxe vs. Premium

I am ready to order, but...

My local dealer has an 05 Mustang GT in the color I want for $1500 less than MSRP, but it is a deluxe. I wanted Premium, but the wait time and the dealer charging MSRP (best in San Diego, BTW) has me wondering.

Help?

Does it have all the features you want?

The only difference i noticed in the 2 was that one was more expensive and only because it had ugly red seats and a crappy radio system. so I would do with the Deluxe. Why waste your money

GWFoos - where in San Diego are you getting a deal for $1,500 under MSRP?

I like my premium package I wouldn't have it any other way. The deluxe has a plastic looking dash, no leather and no my color.

Mossy Ford in Mission Beach is selling GTs that are on the lot at that discount. Ordered units are at MSRP. I was told that they have some priority with ordering due to allotment or something and that they are getting them in in 4-6 weeks from order. FWIW.

As far as I know, the only difference between Deluxe and Premium is that the Premium has the leather seats instead of the cloth ones, and comes standard with the Shaker 500. You can get all the same options (IUP, Shaker upgrade, etc) on either. I have a Deluxe on order with all the other extras, because I didn't want leather seats and going with a Premium adds those.

Unless I'm mistaken, the quality of the inside of the cars is the same otherwise.

Mines the Delux, I have leather and The my color, so I think you may have gotten ripped off!

Also mine was

$22,900 GT
Deluxe Leather seats Side airbags. The only 2 upgrades on the car.
Save your 1.6K for a aftermarket system, The Shaker is a P.O.S compaired to what I have.
