4:10 Gears

RE: 4:10 Gears
Hell...thats why I bought a stang in the first place.
I dont want something sliding out from under me every time I take off though. I wont be bringing it to the drag or racing it often but I want it to go when I tell it to. It also has a Roush conversion that sounds like sweet music.

Give the 4.10 gears a chance, I think you will like them. Use them for a while (at least a 1000 miles?) before you decide. Is the GT a manual? If so, I think the 4.10s fit the car just right. An added benefit on the highway is that you rarely have to downshift to 4th to pass. You can always start off in 2nd (with a manual) if the surface is slippery.
To change back, I've seen parts and labor total anywhere from 400-900 dollars.

4.10s are definitely the way to go if you are N/A. A must! If you go F/I then 3.73s are perfect. Nice ride btw!!!

RE: 4:10 Gears
I think you will like the 4:10s. You will get use to them and will not do a whole lot of spinning and sliding unless you want too. I have had mine for over a year and still get excited when I step on it. Like the other car company's commercial says " When you turn your car on, will it do the same for you". With the 4:10s, yes.
