A black car can look like a mirror when polished correctly. It's not hard at all and can easily be done in an afternoon. With the random orbital polisher, professional results can be obtained with little risk to your paint since they will not easily burn like a regular polisher that spins in one direction and creates a lot of heat.

I bought a Porter cable from you guys about a year ago and was so damn scared to use it that it sat in my garage until this past friday...I have a black stang and it turned out great. Now I have to get up the courage to use it on the sides of the car

The best tip is to always keep the polisher moving and don't use too high a speed. Let the polisher do all the work (don't press down on it).

A random orbital makes it very safe and simple to get professional results. They are a million times easier and safer to use and a regular orbital high speed polisher which can burn your paint in just a few seconds.
