Heel-Toe Downshifting

Heel-Toe Downshifting
Is it just me or are our cars just a pain in the you know what to heel-toe? I have driven Corvette C6's on the track, porche 911's and they are so easy to heel-toe. (obviously these are two superior machines) but still I have a lot of trouble with the S197's. Just please let me know I am not the only one.

I've tried that and have a hard time too. Maybe it's because our pedalsare too small or too far apart, or maybe too close together. I'll have to check my pedals. Maybe aftermarket pedals would help.Hmmmm...

RE: Heel-Toe Downshifting
I think the s197 is well set up for heel-toe, or toe-ball, or whatever you want to call it. It's easier for me than on other cars. I keep the heel firmly on the floor and swing the foot to one o'clock to blip. This is a lot easier on my aging knee and hip than the "traditional" way. If you go to the site www.hookedondriving.com and find the the heel-toe video in the gallery/track TV/getting on track section, you'll see the technique I mean (demonstrated on an s197 no less!) This car actually has the first pedals I've ever been happy with.
