Question Regarding State Inspection and Tune
Quick question for everyone. I'm running a SCT Tune from Brenspeed plus a Pypes Off road H Pipe and Flows. My tune disables the light from coming on from the lack of O2 sensors.
My question is this, will my car pass state inspection. From what I'm told, they do not stick the emmission tester in the tailpipe like they use to. I believe they simply plug into the PC to see if it is throwing codes.
I should pass inspection, correct?
I don't plan on going to a Ford dealership or a repair shop for the inspection. I plan on going to a local inspection place per the recommendation of my speed shop.
Any thoughts?

RE: Question Regarding State Inspection and Tune
I took mine to the dealership (cary) and it failed twice with my tune. Finally Put stock airbox back on and had to drive approximately 100miles to get the computer to reset before it passed.
I read on here it might be able to pass at local inspection station with a tune. Try the jiffy lube in apex.
good luck!

RE: Question Regarding State Inspection and Tune
Anyone else have anything to say about this subject? I am getting a CAI and tune once winter is over. Soon after that I will need an inspection. Did 07Mark not pass because he went to a dealer?
