Shorty antenna

RE: Shorty antenna
I agree. That 9 foot long antenna was the first thing that had to go. I didn't get the same one that Dave got, but similiar. It is a little fatter, but only 14 inches tall. Seems to work fine. Picked it up at O'Riley's Auto Parts for 7 bucks

RE: Shorty antenna
Just to report on the one that Dave and I picked up, the reception was exactly the same as the stock antenna, even in the underground parking garages at home and work. A great buy at $10!

I think I got the same one hawgman got. It was $3.49 at O'Reilly's for a 14" black antenna that is a little thicker than the stock one. It feels so flimsy though, I'm worried that after driving on the interstate it will have a permanent bend in it

Then use the other hand er...uh...I mean turn it around 90 degrees
Yea, I had that concern also. But I have the same antenna on my Electraglide, it has been there for about 20k miles and it is fine.

Got an 8" from Canadian Tire, but beware, the "general ford" application had a middle part to the screw that was actually a little too thick to screw into the car. A little grinding did the trick though. Works like a charm and looks WAY better!
