Default Do you recommend?

Hey guys, I was thinking of buying myself a little Christmas present for something that has always bothered me...... Wheel spacers.... I hate the gap between my fenders and the sidewall, and I really don't want to drop the cash for deep dish rims and tires...

I was thinking of H&R wheel spacers, like $100 per pair, and I would get them for all 4 tires.

I think I want some of the thickest availiable, to widen my track and provide the looks I want, and with a wider wheel base comes less torque with weight transfer when cornering hard, so minimal performance gains will result.

Do you have them? Do you like them? Were can I get them the cheepest and how thick should I go? I really want to bring them out

I wouldnt do it, spacers give you more trouble than they are worth most times....to me the cost isnt worth the "look" you want

What kind of troubles? I had the same idea a while back but decided to go for some 10" DD Bullittsrears and 9" fronts.

i would have to agree w/ howarmat, not just bc he's always right. but if the tires do stick out just a little bit, you could run into problems w/ the tires and fenders. i know people who have put on the spacers for the look, and sooner or later they bottom out and scrape the fender w/ the tire. but their car was also dropped 1.5 inches too.

may i suggest gears....4.10's, should be around the same price for parts/install. i think i paid around 500 for the gears and install. just my 2cents.

I was told by guys that work at tire shops that wheel spacers make it almost impossible to get an alignment. They also said they won't work on a car if it has spacers and won't warranty their tires either. I thought about doing spacers but changed my mind after talking to some people.

Well no spacers and I hated the gap as well. I went with a different offset and but the below 2004 rims on and it took away the lateral gap and lowered it 1.5 and took the pick up truck look away.
