ok as im over in england and am wanting to import a new GT back here,somebody told me i have to have an american driving lisence to buy a car! is this correct or would that be if i wanted to insure a car while i was there which wasnt a hire car?

i doubt you need an american license to buy an american car. we don't need japanese licenses to buy at honda.[&:]

I think you missed his point. You're not buying your japanese cars from a dealer in japan and having it shipped to the US are you? As for the original question, I don't know the export regulations for vehicles.

ninja205- i would check with your dealer if they are taking care of it and/or check your import laws.
