Changed my cabin air filter...

Changed my cabin air filter...
Went and changed my cabin air filter today, and it's a good thing I did.
The original was so caked with soot, leaves, and pollen I'm surprised that any air at all was even flowing through it.
I found leaves from my tree out front, pollen and flower seeds trapped inside, and worst of all, I found ash from the fires that had been burning throughout San Diego County a few months ago.
This was a easy thing to do; it involved me popping the hood, going over to the passenger side, and undoing 2 screws, then pulling up the plastic piece of cowl that went across the passenger side, by the windshield wipers. Once I had that pulled up, I reached in, popped the old filter out, took the new one and inserted it in the frame, then reversed the whole process.
Took 15 min. to do, and the hardest thing was trying to find a place to buy the filter from (I finally went to Autozone, where they wereable to order it for me, $20 out the door). Bosch was the only brand that Autozone had that made it; Fram didn't seem to make one for it. If you haven't done it in your car yet, DO IT, ESPECIALLY IF YOU LIVE IN SO CAL!!! According to the paperwork that came with it, they recommend changing it every 15k mi. or 1 year, especially if you live in a dusty environment. Mine's a year old, and it was well worth it for the change.

RE: Changed my cabin air filter...
I really need to do both this and the fuel filter.....About 16K on her now......
Here is a link I bookmarked some time back for the cabin filter. Seems quite reasonable to me......

RE: Changed my cabin air filter...
I think I'm going to have to buy a couple from that website (and hope shipping's not more than $10, total, or else it's not a good deal) and put them in the garage.
I've got the fuel filter set to do as soon as it warms up a little bit; laying on the cold cement of the garage floor while the car's up on jacks is going to SUCK.
I also need to see if I can find TacoBill's write-up on the fuel filter change, because I seem to remember seeing something about it. From what I understand, it's not hard to do, but I'd like an idea of how to do it without buying a Haynes/Chilton manual (the local auto parts stores only seem to carry stuff for trucks or imports - and they never have the parts toFIX the trucks/imports that are serviced by the manual...Talk about paradoxical).

Do you by chance have the factory part number for the cabin filter?
Thx,
Mike

Purolator's part#: C25572
Bosch's Part#: P3756
I THINK the factory part # is: FD05151P
However, don't quote me on it just yet, because I don't actually have it in front of me. I know that it's printed on the air filter itself, so if you just pop the old one out you can get the number off of it...
I'll post it up tonight when I get home.

The OEM # is on that website:

It's probably a good idea to keep an eye on that filter, especially if you drive with the windows closed and running the air circulation, not necessarily the A/C.
Now, have you checked your intake's air filter?
My stock one after just over 2 years.
