Default o/r x pipe: install?

a few of you guys read my last post about my new o/r x pipe, and i tried installing it friday, but i cant seem to reach the top bolt above the cat (where the stock h pipe connects to the headers)

i called a local mustang shop and asked what to do...."you need a 2 foot long ratchet extension"

do i really need that to install it myself?? i want to be able to install this in my garage on jackstands, but im not sure if i will need a lift or not.
also where oculd i buy a TWO FOOT ratchet extension????

o/r x pipe people chime in!!!! i need some help here!!!

thanks

Check out TacoBill's step-by-step to install an off-road h-pipe.

Yeah, it's really not that hard once the battery's out. Just make sure you use the anti-seize and the Locktite. It only took me a little over an hour to install my OR H-pipe.

I didn't use any anti-seize loctite/threadlocker.

You do not need a two-foot extension. Just a couple of extensions and a swivel/u-joint.....and a deep socket.

The O2 plug that is hard to reach is hard to re-plug when the OR pipe is on, but it is nearly impossible to re-plug with the stock H-pipe on. When I took my OR H-pipe off I did have to move the battery over to get to the plug. The cats get in the way.
